The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, has joined family members, the traditional institution, and the people of the state in celebrating His Royal Highness, Malam Muhammad Awal Ibrahim, CON—Sarkin Zazzau Suleja and first elected Governor of Niger State—on the occasion of his 84th birthday anniversary.
In a statement signed by Lawal Tanko, Information Officer at the SSG’s Office, the SSG described the monarch as a distinguished elder statesman, a visionary leader, and a custodian of cultural heritage whose life has been defined by devotion to Allah, service to humanity, and commitment to the development of Niger State.
Alhaji Abubakar Usman noted that Malam Awal Ibrahim’s contributions as the first civilian governor laid a strong foundation for governance, democratic values, and institutional development in the state. He added that the Sarkin Zazzau’s reign has continued to promote peace, unity, and cultural pride across Suleja Emirate and beyond.
The SSG prayed for the monarch’s continued good health, long life, and divine wisdom, describing his legacy of selfless service and commitment to his people’s welfare as a shining example for leaders at all levels.
“On behalf of the government and people of Niger State, I heartily congratulate His Royal Highness, Malam Muhammad Awal Ibrahim, Sarkin Zazzau Suleja, on his 84th birthday. May Almighty Allah (SWT) continue to bless him with strength, peace, and enduring wisdom. May his reign continue to bring unity and prosperity to Niger State and the entire nation,” the SSG stated.
