The Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has condemned Tuesday’s police blockade of the PDP National Secretariat, declaring that “enough is enough” and insisting that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) belongs to Nigerians—not to any individual.

In a statement posted on his verified Facebook page, Governor Mohammed warned that party leaders will not remain silent while attempts are made to destabilise the PDP.

“I reaffirm that the PDP Governors’ Forum will not stand by and watch the party be dismantled by those who neither understand its founding principles nor respect its future,” he said.

He said the Forum is committed to working closely with the newly constituted National Working Committee (NWC) to protect the party’s secretariat, defend internal democracy, and preserve the PDP’s integrity.

“We shall do so with unity, strategic coordination, and an unshakable commitment to the rule of law,” the governor stated.

Governor Mohammed stressed that the party will not be intimidated, adding: “Let me be clear: the PDP will not be cowed, harassed, or silenced. We have weathered greater storms and emerged stronger. This moment will be no different. We will rise from it more united and more determined.”

In a direct warning to the presidency, the governor described the alleged use of state power to influence internal party affairs as dangerous and counterproductive.

“I must also caution the presidency. It is a dangerous precedent to empower individuals who lack both character and commitment to democratic values—individuals who misuse state power to settle internal political disputes.

“Such actions do not serve our country, and they certainly do not serve the PDP. Rather, they undermine the very institutions that bind our democracy together,” he concluded.
