The Cooperative Rating and Award Society of Nigeria has honoured the Provost of the Federal Cooperative College, Kaduna (FCCK), Dr. Ibrahim Muhammad Awwal, with the Outstanding Provost of the Year 2025 award.
The presentation took place in Lagos during the 7th National Cooperative Award 2025, where the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, presented the awards on behalf of the society. The Federal Cooperative College, Kaduna, also clinched the Best Cooperative Institution of the Year.
Speaking shortly after the presentations, the Minister commended Dr. Awwal’s exemplary leadership, particularly in infrastructural development and innovative initiatives that have strengthened the college’s academic profile. He noted that the institution has recorded remarkable progress within a short period under the provost’s stewardship.
Dr. Abdullahi added that the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security is fully aware of the transformation taking place at the college and urged other cooperative institutions across the country to emulate FCCK’s achievements.
In his remarks, Dr. Awwal expressed appreciation to the organisers, describing the recognition as a moral booster that would further inspire him to deliver more for the institution.
He reiterated his commitment to introducing more innovations aimed at improving the college’s academic standards, ensuring it competes favourably with other tertiary institutions in the country.
