Hundred thousands of Muslims are expected to gather today, Friday, at 3:00 p.m. at the Bauchi Eid Ground for the funeral prayer of the renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, who passed away on Thursday (Yesterday).
According to a statement issued by the residence of the late scholar, M. Daha Azhary Bauchi announced that Sheikh Dahiru Usman's longtime friend, Shariff Ibrahim Saley Al’husainiy, will lead the funeral prayer, in accordance with the Sheikh’s wishes.
"The funeral of Maulana Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi will be conducted tomorrow, Friday, 28-11-2025, at the Bauchi Eid Ground at 3:00 p.m., immediately after the Jumu’ah prayers. His close friend, Shariff Ibrahim Saley Al’husainiy, will lead the prayer as he was chosen by the late Sheikh," the statement said.
Mourners from across Nigeria and several parts of Africa are expected to attend the funeral.
