The Leader of the Islamic movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H), has extended his heartfelt condolences following the death of the renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
In a condolence message released on Thursday by his office, Sheikh Zakzaky described the passing of the respected cleric as “a great and weighty loss that affects the entire Muslim community.” He condoled with the family of the deceased, his students, and his followers, praying that Almighty Allah forgive him, shower His mercy upon him, and grant him a lofty place in Paradise.
The Islamic movement leader further prayed that Allah grant the family, relatives, and the multitude of admirers the patience and fortitude to bear the loss.
The Muslim community in Nigeria and beyond has been thrown into deep mourning following the announcement of the death of the eminent scholar, Sheikh Usman Dahiru Bauchi (Rahimahullah), who passed away in the early hours of Thursday, 06 Jumada al-Thani 1447 AH, corresponding to November 27, 2025.
Sheikh Usman Dahiru Bauchi was widely celebrated for his profound knowledge, wisdom, and lifelong commitment to Islamic scholarship. His teachings shaped the lives of thousands of students and scholars, while his contributions to education, moral guidance, and community development earned him admiration across generations. His demise leaves a significant vacuum in the Muslim Ummah, particularly among those nurtured under his tutelage.
As the news of his passing spreads, followers and admirers continue to offer prayers and recitations of Suratul Fatiha, seeking Allah’s mercy upon a scholar whose influence resonated far and wide and whose legacy will remain deeply cherished.
