The Jigawa State Savings and Loan Limited has congratulated Governor Umar Namadi on his conferment with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business and Sustainability by the Federal University of Otuoke, Bayelsa State.
The financial institution described the award as a recognition of the governor’s leadership qualities and contributions to governance and economic development in Jigawa State.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by its Managing Director, Dr. Babandi Isah Gumel, the bank said the honour reflects Governor Namadi’s commitment to transparent governance, public service reforms, financial inclusion, education, youth empowerment, agriculture, and sustainable economic growth.
According to the statement, the management and staff of the bank joined other stakeholders in celebrating what it termed a significant milestone in the governor’s public service career.
The institution noted that the award is not only a personal achievement for Governor Namadi but also a source of pride for the people of Jigawa State, adding that it would serve as an inspiration to public office holders to uphold integrity, accountability, and discipline in governance.
The bank also commended the Federal University of Otuoke for recognising excellence in leadership and public administration through the conferment of the honorary degree.
The statement further reaffirmed the institution’s support for leaders who demonstrate dedication and excellence in public service, while praying for continued success for Governor Namadi in his efforts to advance development in Jigawa State.
