The Managing Director of Jigawa State Savings and Loan Limited, Dr. Babandi Isah Gumel, has presented an Award of Excellence to the Executive Chairman of Birnin Kudu Local Government Area, Builder Mohammad Uba, in recognition of his partnership with the bank and contributions to local development.
The award was presented during a courtesy visit by the bank’s management to the chairman’s office in Birnin Kudu.
Speaking shortly after the presentation, Dr. Gumel said the award was in recognition of the chairman’s commitment to sustaining a productive economic and financial relationship with Jigawa State Savings and Loan Limited.
According to a citation accompanying the award, it was conferred “in recognition of your sustained economic and financial partnership with the bank.”
Dr. Gumel noted that the Birnin Kudu council under Builder Uba’s leadership has made significant strides in employment generation, particularly through the engagement of health and technical personnel, thereby creating an enabling environment for growth in the education, health, and agricultural sectors.
Responding, the Chairman of Birnin Kudu Local Government Area, Builder Mohammad Uba, expressed appreciation for the honour and dedicated the award to the people of the local government area.
He also commended the Jigawa State Government under the leadership of Governor Malam Dr. Umar Namadi, describing the administration’s financial reforms and development policies as prudent and people-oriented.
The chairman further praised Dr. Babandi Isah Gumel for his professionalism, transparency, and accountability in managing the affairs of Jigawa State Savings and Loan Limited, noting that his leadership has ensured compliance with financial regulations and improved the institution’s standards.
Builder Uba called on stakeholders across the state to support the financial management initiatives of the Namadi administration by strengthening Jigawa State Savings and Loan Limited, describing the bank as a key driver of sustainable development in the state.
