The Niger State Government has approved the appointment of Engr. Isah Isah Abdullahi as the Acting State Coordinator of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), with immediate effect.

The appointment forms part of the ongoing implementation of the New Niger Agenda of the present administration, which prioritises rural infrastructure development, agricultural transformation, and improved socio-economic opportunities for communities across the state.

Before his appointment, Engr. Abdullahi served as the Infrastructure Engineer on the RAAMP team, where he distinguished himself through diligence, technical expertise, and commitment to the successful execution of rural infrastructure projects. He played a key role in the planning, supervision, and delivery of rural road and market infrastructure projects aimed at improving connectivity and expanding market access for farming communities.

The appointment reflects the confidence reposed in his competence, professionalism, and dedication to effective public service delivery. In his new role, Engr. Abdullahi is expected to provide strategic leadership for the project, strengthen inter-agency collaboration, and ensure the efficient implementation of RAAMP activities across Niger State.

The Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project is a collaborative initiative supported by the World Bank, the French Development Agency, and the Federal Government of Nigeria. The project focuses on the rehabilitation and maintenance of rural roads, enhancement of rural market infrastructure, and improvement of livelihoods for smallholder farmers through better access to markets and essential services.

The Niger State Government reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging RAAMP as a strategic platform for deepening rural development in line with the New Niger Agenda, while ensuring that communities across the state benefit from sustainable infrastructure and economic growth initiatives.
