The Zamfara State Government has showcased a number of its ongoing development projects to a delegation from the National Economic Council (NEC) of the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning as part of the delegation's three-day working visit to the state.
Leading the inspection tour, the State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Professor Yahaya Zakari, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Sani Abubakar Wamban Bukkuyum, took the federal delegation to several strategic government projects across Gusau.
The delegation inspected key facilities, including the Zamfara State Ministry of Information, the Almajiri Integrated School, Gusau International Airport, the Mechanical Village, and the Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO).
Speaking during the tour, Professor Zakari said the projects reflect the commitment of Governor Dauda Lawal's administration to improving infrastructure, strengthening public institutions, and promoting sustainable socio-economic development across the state.
He added that the visit provided the NEC delegation with the opportunity to assess the level of implementation, evaluate the impact of the projects, and gain first-hand insight into the state's efforts to align its development programmes with national planning objectives.
Members of the delegation commended the Zamfara State Government for the quality of work executed and expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded on the various projects inspected.
The three-day working visit is expected to strengthen collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning and the Zamfara State Government in the areas of development planning, project monitoring, and the effective implementation of government programmes.
