The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State has commended The Game Changer Group (TGCG) for its efforts to mobilise political support and strengthen the party ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

The Chairman of the APC in Niger State, Alhaji Aminu Musa Bobi, gave the commendation when a delegation from TGCG, led by its State Coordinator, Hon. Umar Abdullahi Gwandu, visited the party’s state secretariat.

Alhaji Bobi said TGCG had distinguished itself among the various political groups supporting the APC through what he described as a well-organised mobilisation strategy.

He said the group comprises representatives of civil servants’ unions, retired security personnel, widows of fallen military personnel, freedom fighters’ groups, nurses and midwives, teachers’ unions, women and youth groups, among others.

The APC chairman expressed appreciation for the group’s support, attributing the growing political mobilisation to the leadership and developmental efforts of the Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago.

He assured the group that the party’s doors remained open to suggestions and collaboration, stressing that the APC would work with stakeholders to retain the seats it is contesting in the forthcoming elections.

Speaking on the purpose of the visit, the TGCG State Coordinator, Hon. Umar Abdullahi Gwandu, said the group was committed to supporting initiatives aimed at the development of Niger State.

Gwandu said the group’s mentor, Comrade Idrees Abdulkareem Lafene, was determined to mobilise the support of workers’ unions across the state in recognition of the support and cooperation extended to workers by Governor Umaru Bago.

He said TGCG had put mechanisms in place to mobilise support for the re-election of Governor Bago, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as APC candidates contesting senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly seats in the forthcoming elections.

Also speaking, the Assistant APC State Youth Leader, Hon. Nura GT, commended TGCG for its efforts to mobilise youths, women and political activists for the success of the party.

The meeting was attended by the state party secretary, other state-level party officials, representatives from various local government areas, as well as representatives of nurses’ unions and retired security personnel, who expressed their support for the mobilisation initiative.
