The Borgu Emirate Council has officially presented the appointment letter conferring the traditional title of Hasken Borgu on the Managing Director of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC), Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa, FCNA, FNIS, FNIM (Katukan Yauri).

The letter was presented to the Managing Director by Dr. Yusuf Dauda Ubandoma on behalf of the Emir of Borgu, Dr. Muhammad Haliru Dantoro Kitoro IV, at the Commission’s headquarters in Minna on Monday.

The Emir had announced the conferment of the title on the Managing Director during the distribution of relief materials to victims of bandit attacks in the emirate last week.

Dr. Kitoro said the recognition was in appreciation of Alhaji Yelwa’s sterling leadership, support, and execution of landmark projects across the Borgu Emirate and other N-HYPPADEC communities.

Accepting the appointment, Alhaji Yelwa expressed appreciation to the Emir and the Borgu Emirate Council for the honour, saying the recognition would inspire him to continue serving power-producing communities with greater passion and dedication.
