The Nigeria Police have arrested the General Manager of JKD Television/Hamada Radio FM, Kaduna, Mr. Charles Abah, alongside a security guard attached to the station.
The management of JKD TV/Hamada Radio Network disclosed this in a public announcement dated September 11, 2026, stating that the two men were arrested after police officers reportedly invaded the station’s premises at Millennium City, Kaduna.
According to the statement, the policemen arrived at the station and requested to see one of its staff members, Zainab Salihu Yabagi, over a video explainer produced by JKD TV concerning Ibrahim Kabir Masari, Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs.
The management said the video was presented by Yabagi, adding that the police subsequently arrested the station’s General Manager and a security guard.
The statement further said the two men were being held at the Kaduna State Police Command as of the time of the announcement.
JKD TV/Hamada Radio Network described the arrests as unacceptable and alleged that the detention amounted to an unjust restriction of the men’s freedom.
The management called for the immediate release of Mr. Abah and the security guard.
