The Zazzau Emirate has approved the appointment of Hon. Hasan Sandas Dan Rimin GRA as the new Mai Anguwar GRA Zaria.
The appointment was announced at a ceremony held on Saturday, September 25, 2026, with the approval of the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, and the Hakimi of Sabon Gari, Alhaji Ahmed Bashir Aminu, alongside members of his council.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Hakimi of Sabon Gari said Hon. Hasan Sandas was selected based on his qualifications, commitment and contributions to the welfare and development of the community.
The Hakimi and members of his council congratulated the newly appointed Mai Anguwa and expressed confidence that he would discharge his responsibilities with honesty, integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.
Speaking to journalists after the ceremony, Hon. Hasan Sandas expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him.
He thanked the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, for his efforts towards promoting unity among the people of the Zazzau Emirate and Kaduna State at large.
He also expressed appreciation to the Hakimi of Sabon Gari, Alhaji Ahmed Bashir Aminu, for entrusting him with the new responsibility.
Hon. Hasan pledged to work towards promoting peace, unity and development in GRA Zaria, while calling on residents to support him in discharging his duties.
The appointment ceremony, held at the palace of the Hakimi of Sabon Gari in Sabon Gari, Kaduna State, was attended by residents, traditional stakeholders, youths and well-wishers.
Hon. Hasan Sandas Dan Rimin Gari is an indigene of Sabon Gari Local Government Area and obtained his university degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He is also an active young person who has participated in the activities of the National Youth Council of Nigeria in Sabon Gari Local Government Area.
He is also involved in political activities as a young member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government.
His appointment has attracted congratulatory messages and commendation from members of the community, particularly youths and other stakeholders, who expressed their happiness over his new position.
