The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Zamfara State Command, Commandant Sani Mustapha in conjunction with other sister agencies graced the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected lawmakers of the Zamfara State House of Assembly at the House of Assembly complex Gusau.
This was contained in a statement signed and released to newsmen by Ikor Oche SC, the CDPRO of Zamfara State Command.
Daily Struggle Newspaper reports that the occasion which also signified the official take-off of the 7th State House of Assembly was colorful with the consensus elections of the house principal officers.
Mr. Biliyaminu Ismail Moriki from Zurmi West State Constituency and Mr. Adamu Aliyu from Gummi East State Constituency were therefore elected as Speaker and Deputy Speaker respectively.
Commandant Sani Mustapha who featured prominently in ensuring a successful ceremony, deployed massively, the officers and men of the Corps to the Assembly complex and access points to forestall the breakdown of laws and order by miscreants and hoodlums during the swearing-in ceremony.
The event however was peaceful and devoid of any rancor, the statement said.
