The Acting Rector, Dr Hashimu Sabo Bello of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi has assured results-oriented leadership under his administration.
The Rector gave the assurance while briefing newsmen at his office in Bauchi.
He further explained that it’s significance to put more emphasis on the research and development that will enhance productivity to the academic excellence, growth, and discipline across the divides
The Rector pledges to move the institution to greater heights by carrying the polytechnic community alone irrespective of political affiliation, religious beliefs, and other sentiments, it is the beginning of a new journey that would last for six months as enshrined in the law of appointment in an acting capacity, he said.
In another development, the rector assured staff and students of the polytechnic as well as the general public that he would in synergy with his formidable team not only hit the ground running but also work around the clock, he noted.
He pointed out that within two months of assumption of office, he was able to achieve the following in the areas of accreditation, reaccreditation, and resource inspection of academic programs at National Diploma, Higher National Diploma, degree levels, provision of adequate water supply for both students and staffs, training and retraining of both academic and non-academic staff, provision of adequate security surveillance, provision of adequate atmosphere for teaching and learning, among others.
The Rector equally mentioned that the polytechnic has already secured the accreditation of a postgraduate Diploma in criminology and security studies in affiliation with the federal Polytechnic Dutse, Jigawa state.
He concluded by saying, that arrangements are in top gear between the commission of polytechnic towards the certification of over 3,000 NCE graduates of the institution which had been long overdue.
