The Niger State Government conducted an inspection of BIWATER Kataeregi on March 27, 2024. The State Permanent Secretary, Akilu Musa Kuta, of the Niger State Ministry of Water Resources and Dams Development, led a combined team from the State Small Town Water Supply and Sanitation Agency to assess, evaluate, and analyze the Biwater platform at Kataeregi, accompanied by the General Manager, Madam Helen William.
The team inspected the BIWATER power supply, power generating system, and booster switches. They assessed the platform's water intake, which includes a 284,000-liter water tank tower, a 125kva generator, installation of PVC pipes, water transmission and distribution lines, pumps, staff, and personnel.
At the Kataeregi Biwater platform, the team evaluated water sustainability, power supply sustainability, maintenance, resuscitation, reactivation, and borehole viability.
The Biwater platform is an integral part of the State's small town water supply chain, supported and co-funded by the Niger State Government, UN-Habitat, and the Republic of Korea.
