In a media chat in Yola, Alhaji Dauda Sa'idu (Dan of Maliki Madagali) announced his support for 42 groups that campaigned for the election of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri during the 2023 general election in the state.
Dan Maliki, who does not hold a position in the state government, explained, "Not everyone can have the opportunity to see the governor. This is why we owe gratitude to the organizations that helped us in the campaign for the governorship, and we are supporting them.
"We have supported more than 40 groups, and we will continue to visit and support them, thank them, and assure them that whenever there is a favor from the government, we will seek their support again," said Madagali.
Speaking about the fifth anniversary of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in office, Alhaji Dauda expressed gratitude, saying, "There has never been a governor like Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the history of Adamawa. We thank God for giving the governor the opportunity to fulfill most of the promises he made to the people.
"We thank God and Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. Everything is going as it should; all the promises he made during the election campaign are being fulfilled. We in Adamawa are happy about that, and we thank him and wish him the best."
He continued, "Before, the government did not pay salaries regularly, and there was little care and attention to education and health. But since Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri took office, he has implemented the 11-point agenda in less than three years.
"Now he has promised an 8-point agenda for the people of Adamawa. Within one year, he has implemented about four of those points. Just like the former president Olusegun Obasanjo, who came to launch the underground flyover last year when the flyover project was completed at Total Junction, the former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar inaugurated it. This year, Chief Obasanjo inaugurated it again. We are praying for him and hope he returns home safely. We ask the people to continue praying for Governor Fintiri to fulfill his promises," said Dauda.
Speaking about the three years left for Governor Fintiri to complete his term, he said, "We hope that he completes his term safely and brings in a person with good leadership qualities to succeed him. Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's life is dedicated to the poor; he doesn't listen if it's not about people's complaints," he emphasized.
