The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has taken a significant step toward establishing a robust partnership with the Indian government to foster innovative ideas aimed at driving transformational change and promoting financial inclusion for the country's large population.
As part of this initiative, the Director-General of the NDE, Silas Agara, recently visited the Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Shri G. Balasubramanian, at the Commission's office in Abuja.
The progress meeting between the NDE and the Indian High Commissioner provided a valuable opportunity for Silas Agara to explore new strategies and methods that could empower Nigerian youths with digital skills, ultimately diversifying the nation's economy to compete favorably on a global scale.
This initiative by the NDE Director-General underscores his unwavering commitment to aligning with President Ahmed Bola Tinubu's vision of steering the nation's economy toward sustained growth and development. Agara emphasized that this objective can only be achieved by ensuring that youths are gainfully employed and equipped with the necessary tools.
This rationale explains why the NDE chief met with the Indian High Commissioner, aiming to formulate a far-reaching plan that, if properly implemented, could address the myriad challenges undermining the country's development.
