Niger State Acting Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, has condemned the recent attack by bandits on the Anguwan Mai-Giro community, located in the Rafi and Shiroro local government areas of the state, which resulted in the loss of several lives.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Acting Governor described the attack as "satanic, senseless, atrocious, and callous."
He expressed deep sorrow over the incident, stating that it is both disheartening and disturbing for individuals to perpetrate such a barbaric and vicious act against their fellow human beings.
The Acting Governor extended his condolences to the affected families, community members, and the entire Shiroro local government area, praying that Allah grants rest to the souls of the departed, provides comfort to their loved ones, and grants quick recovery to those injured.
He reaffirmed the Bago-led administration's unwavering determination and commitment to combating insecurity in the state. He also urged security agencies not to be discouraged by these attacks, assuring them of the government's full support in achieving victory over those who seek to harm the community.
