Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has called on the Muslim community to regularly reflect on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and to sustain prayers for peace and prosperity in society.
In his Eid-el-Maulud message, the Governor, a dedicated farmer, urged Muslims to live peacefully, emulating the virtues exemplified by Prophet Muhammad, whom he described as a role model for all believers. He emphasized that Prophet Muhammad remains a perfect example for Muslims, noting that his qualities of love, perseverance, sacrifice, tolerance, and humility set him apart from other prophets.
Governor Umaru Bago stressed that following the teachings of the Holy Prophet would foster peaceful coexistence, growth, and development within society.
While congratulating Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, Governor Bago encouraged them to use this period to offer special prayers for lasting peace and prosperity in Niger State and Nigeria at large.
The Governor also reassured residents of his administration's commitment to the "New Niger" agenda, aimed at improving the quality of life for all citizens.
