Former Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago congratulates the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alh. Yahaya Abubakar, on his 21st year on the throne and 72nd birthday.
In a statement, the former Governor expressed gratitude to Allah for His mercies and kindness in the life of the revered traditional leader of the Nupe Kingdom. He commended the Etsu Nupe's fatherly role, not only among the Nupe-speaking people but also to those around him.
Bago highlighted the unity and high cultural values displayed among the Etsu Nupe’s subjects, attributing them to his purposeful leadership and commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Nupe Kingdom.
He noted that Etsu Nupe’s reign has positively impacted not just his subjects but also Nigerians from diverse backgrounds. The former Governor praised the monarch as a bridge-builder, selfless, determined, and caring leader, always standing by his people.
He also commended the Etsu Nupe for guiding other traditional rulers in the state to support the policies and programs of the current administration at all levels.
Governor Bago prayed for Allah's continued love and mercy upon the Etsu Nupe, wishing him a peaceful and successful reign.
