Retired Colonel Igwe Ibila Amara, Commander General of the Citizens for Peace and First Aid Mission of Nigeria (CFPFAMN), has called on Nigerians to prioritize personal security and community awareness to complement government efforts in achieving lasting peace, especially in areas affected by insecurity.

Speaking during the flag-off of CFPFAMN’s revalidation and membership registration in Abuja, Col. Amara emphasized that individual and community consciousness is vital to any security system’s success. He urged citizens to provide timely information to security outfits to help apprehend criminals before their plans escalate.

Col. Amara also recommended special security awareness training for traditional rulers, recognizing their key role in grassroots intelligence gathering. He highlighted CFPFAMN’s decade-long partnerships with government agencies in rescue and emergency operations, calling for more support in resources such as ambulances to enhance their work.

The digital revalidation initiative aims to modernize CFPFAMN's membership process and prevent impersonation, ensuring the organization's continued relevance in Nigeria's evolving security landscape.
