The Niger State Government has expressed interest in partnering with Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada, to bring advanced cancer care to the people of Niger State.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago made this known during his visit to the hospital, where he met with the top management team of what is regarded as the largest comprehensive cancer center in Canada.
Governor Bago highlighted his administration’s readiness to explore collaborative opportunities with the renowned hospital, particularly in the area of cancer care. He described the potential partnership as a significant step toward enhancing healthcare delivery in Niger State.
Princess Margaret Hospital, which is part of the University Health Network (UHN), is internationally recognized for its groundbreaking work in cancer research, treatment, and education. The proposed partnership with Niger State is viewed as a promising avenue for advancing cancer prevention, treatment, and possibly contributing to finding a cure.
