Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has announced that his administration will soon commence Ward Development Projects across the state.

Governor Bago made this statement during the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders' meeting, held at the Hauwa Wali Multipurpose Hall in the Government House, Minna.

He explained that the Ward Development Project is designed to bring governance closer to the people and foster rapid growth and development, particularly at the grassroots level. Committees will be established to ensure the successful implementation of this initiative.

Governor Bago also emphasized the need for the APC leadership in the state to organize town hall meetings, where key stakeholders can engage with the public to understand their concerns and address them effectively.

He expressed gratitude to the APC leadership and members for their support of his "New Niger" agenda, urging them to remain united for the party's growth and the overall development of the state.

Addressing the issue of insecurity in parts of the state, Governor Bago described the situation as troubling but reassured the public that the government is making concerted efforts to address it. He condemned those who act as informants for bandits, calling them a significant obstacle in the fight against insecurity, and vowed that security agents would take decisive action against them.

The governor urged Nigerlites to cooperate with security agencies by providing vital information that could help combat banditry and other criminal activities.

In addition, Governor Bago encouraged residents to support his administration's agricultural revolution aimed at feeding the nation, noting that the state government's substantial investments in agriculture are already yielding positive results.

In their respective remarks, Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji, Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly; Mu'azu Bawa Rijau, APC National Vice Chairman; and Aminu Musa Bobi, Acting Niger State APC Chairman, commended Governor Bago's achievements, particularly in infrastructural development, which they said had placed the state on a path to greatness.

Senator Abubakar Sani Bello, former Niger State Governor and Senator representing Niger North, and Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, representing Niger East, also praised the administration’s unprecedented developmental strides. They pledged continued support for Governor Bago's people-oriented policies and programs.
