The Bauchi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held a critical stakeholders' meeting to reaffirm its steadfast support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda and the two federal ministers from the state.
In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting and signed by the State Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Hassan, the party expressed its commitment to fulfilling the mandate entrusted by the Nigerian people.
The communiqué outlined several resolutions from the meeting, including:
Support for Tinubu's Agenda: The party affirmed its unified support for President Tinubu’s agenda and the contributions of Bauchi State’s ministers, Prof. Ali Pate (Minister of Health) and Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar (Minister of Foreign Affairs).
Unity within Bauchi APC: The party emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and unity within the Bauchi State APC to foster collective progress and benefit the people of the state.
Quarterly Stakeholders’ Meetings: It was agreed that stakeholders' meetings will be held quarterly to address key issues, with a commitment to enforcing discipline among members at all levels without fear or favor.
Palliative Distribution: The party recommended that palliative allocations should be distributed through elected and appointed representatives from Bauchi State to ensure equitable access.
Fairness in Future Elections: The communiqué stressed the need for justice, equity, and fairness in upcoming congresses, primaries, and general elections, with strong backing for all APC candidates.
Additionally, the party called on the Federal Government to alleviate the suffering of citizens and to revive the Bauchi-Gombe oil project for the economic benefit of the region.
“We must maintain unity of purpose, brotherhood, and solidarity to advance the progress of our party and the country as a whole,” the communiqué stated.
