The Governor of Niger State, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, has congratulated Sheikh Adamu Yakatun on his appointment as the new Chairman of the Imams Forum of Niger State.
In a congratulatory message delivered through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago described Sheikh Yakatun’s emergence as a positive development for the Muslim community. He expressed confidence in Sheikh Yakatun’s ability to continue the work of his predecessor, the late Malam Ibrahim Isah Fari, in fostering unity within the Muslim Ummah and advancing the cause of Allah.
Governor Bago further stated his belief that Sheikh Yakatun will serve as an exemplary leader, leveraging his new position to promote peace and harmony among all members of the community. He also called on other members of the Imams Forum to extend their cooperation and support to the new Chairman in achieving the Forum’s core objectives.
Sheikh Adamu Yakatun was officially appointed Chairman following a unanimous decision by the Executive members of the Forum during a meeting held in Bida. Previously serving as the Chief Imam of Bida, Sheikh Yakatun succeeds the late Malam Ibrahim Isah Fari, whose recent passing left a significant void in the leadership of the Forum.
