In his speech, President Tinubu reminded graduates that "success is a journey, not a destination" and urged them to make positive impacts in their communities by applying the knowledge and skills gained during their studies.

The President commended FUDMA’s growth and development since its establishment in 2011. The university has expanded significantly from an initial setup of three faculties and 218 students to a current structure that includes 14 faculties, a College of Health Sciences, and 56 academic departments.

On the topic of national security, President Tinubu reassured Nigerians of the government’s commitment to combating terrorism, kidnapping, and banditry. He underscored the role of education in national progress and urged universities to engage in impactful research and collaborate with industries to boost their capabilities.

The President also emphasized the importance of private sector involvement in funding education and commended Federal University Dutse for its initiatives in delivering quality education. He highlighted some of the university’s research centres, including the Center for Agricultural Research & Extension Services and the Centre for Peace, Security and Conflict Resolution.

During the ceremony, four distinguished Nigerians were honoured with honorary degrees for their contributions to national development. The honorees included Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wammako, and Honourable Kabir Abubakar.

President Tinubu concluded his remarks by encouraging Nigerians to maintain faith in the country and its leadership, affirming that, despite current challenges, Nigeria is on a path to greatness.

The 9th convocation ceremony marked a significant milestone for FUDMA, highlighting its commitment to knowledge, excellence, and service. The university continues to offer a diverse array of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with faculties in agriculture, arts and social sciences, computing, education, management sciences, and science.

Representing President Tinubu at the event, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammad reiterated the administration's dedication to tackling insecurity. “The government is committed to eradicating all forms of terrorism, kidnapping, and banditry in Nigeria. However, security is a collective responsibility, and we urge all citizens to assist by reporting suspicious activities to security agencies,” he stated.

The President also encouraged students to explore opportunities under the Nigerian Loan Scheme, which has disbursed over N70 billion to support young entrepreneurs. He reminded Nigerians that the success of the country rests not only on government efforts but on the collective actions of all citizens.

In closing, President Tinubu congratulated the graduates, university management, and staff on their achievements, acknowledging FUDMA’s growth and commitment to quality education, research, and community engagement.
