Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, expresses his appreciation for the massive support from the residents of Minna Emirate in his continuous efforts to transform the State Capital.
Governor Umaru Bago conveyed his gratitude during a visit from a delegation of Minna Emirate and stakeholders, led by the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Faruk Bahago, who came to appreciate the Governor at the Government House in Minna.
Farmer Umaru Bago described the visit as unprecedented, noting that the accolades and appreciation from the Emirate and other stakeholders motivate him to do even more. He reassured them that he would not let them down.
He emphasized that Minna, as the capital of Niger State, cannot remain underdeveloped, which prompted his decision to embark on massive infrastructural development in the town while disclosing his plans for more developmental projects.
The Farmer Governor recounted how the people of Minna, through their overwhelming support, played a significant role in his career as a banker and supported his political journey as a Federal Legislator for twelve years, ultimately leading to his position as Governor.
He reaffirmed his loyalty and commitment to the development of the Emirate, stating that he will continue to seek advice and words of wisdom from the Emirate for the overall development of the State.
In his remarks, the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Faruk Bahago, informed the Farmer Governor that the delegation was in the Government House to express appreciation for his significant strides in transforming both the State Capital and the State as a whole.
The Emir also praised the Farmer Governor for his tireless efforts in addressing insecurity in the State, noting the remarkable improvements achieved.
He further assured the Governor that the Minna Emirate Council and the good people of Niger State are solidly behind him as he continues to implement people-oriented policies.
The Emir concluded the visit by presenting the Governor with gifts of kola nuts and a hoe.
