The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission has flagged off the distribution of start up kits to 324 beneficiaries of the Youth Transformation Program ( YTP) in Jos the Plateau State capital.
The distribution is in line with the Commission’s resolve to uplift and improve the socio-economic and living standard of youths through skills acquisition in various economically viable skills.
The distribution of the start-up kits was flagged off by His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State who was ably represented by his deputy Josephine Piyo alongside the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator (Dr.) George Akume fnim, CON represented by Mr. Simeon Tyungu, and N-HYPPADEC's Managing Director Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa fcna, FNIM (Katukan Yauri) and other dignitaries.
At the event, the Managing Director was represented by his Special Assistant on Technical Matters, Professor Abubakar Yasin, along with other members of the Commission's staff.
The Managing Director of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC), Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa fcna, FNIM (Katukan Yauri), has received an Honorary Fellowship award from the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES) during its 33rd Annual Conference and AGM held at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos State.
The SA Technical to the Managing Director, Professor Yasin Abubakar presented the Honorary Fellowship Award he received on behalf of the Managing Director from the Nigerian Environmental Society during its 33rd Annual Conference and AGM.
This accolade acknowledges his steadfast dedication to the environmental sector. The award highlights Yelwa's visionary leadership and his significant contributions to promoting sustainable practices, enhancing awareness of environmental challenges, and executing innovative solutions through community engagement, policy advocacy, and practical projects aimed at environmental protection.
