Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has called on officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Niger State Chapter, to prioritize the reconciliation of aggrieved members in order to foster the growth and development of both the party and the state.
He made the appeal during separate visits to the Kontagora Local Government and the Zone C APC Secretariats in Kontagora, the headquarters of the Zone C Senatorial District.
Addressing APC stakeholders from Zone C, the governor stressed the importance of unity and patriotism among party members. He reiterated his administration's commitment to bringing development to the grassroots through the Ward Development Projects, announcing that a committee would soon be formed to oversee this initiative.
The committee, according to the governor, would collaborate with the Commissioner for Rural Development to achieve the set objectives. He also noted that a significant amount of funding has been allocated for grassroots development, particularly for the provision of basic social amenities.
Governor Bago further urged all APC members to support the party and reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to it.
Mu'azu Bawa Rijau, the APC Deputy Chairman for the North Central Zone, expressed appreciation for Governor Bago's people-oriented policies, stating that the APC is proud of the achievements of the Bago-led administration and will continue to support him for continued success.
Yakubu Hannafi, the APC Secretary for the North Central Zone, described Governor Bago as one of the most active governors in the country and the best among his counterparts in the North Central Region.
Alhaji Adamu Umaru Kawu, the APC Chairman for Kontagora Local Government, commended the governor for his progressive policies and programs that have significantly improved the lives of the people. He assured the governor that the APC in Kontagora is solidly behind him as he strives to elevate Niger State to greater heights.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the party and the state, the APC Kontagora Local Government presented an award of gratitude to Governor Umaru Bago. The award acknowledged his laudable policies and programs aimed at developing the party and the state.
