Fulani communities in Niger North Senatorial District have expressed their appreciation for Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, commending his all-inclusive style of governance, which has contributed to fostering peace and development across the state.
The recognition was made by representatives of the Fulani communities, led by the Commissioner for Pastoral and Nomadic Affairs, Hon. Umar Sanda Rabe, during a meeting with the governor in Kontagora.
The Fulani leaders praised Governor Bago for prioritizing their well-being, particularly through the establishment of the Ministry of Nomadic and Pastoral Affairs, which they described as a significant step toward addressing their unique needs and concerns.
They also commended the governor’s tireless efforts in effectively managing farmer-herder conflicts, highlighting his initiatives to promote peace and understanding among the diverse communities in the state.
The representatives emphasized that the effective management of both herders and farmers is crucial for maintaining harmony and supporting the livelihoods of the people.
In response, Governor Bago thanked the Fulani communities for their patience and assured them that his administration would continue to include them in all development plans. He encouraged them to maintain peace, as it is essential for fostering growth and bringing development to their doorsteps.
