The National Chairmen of the PRP, Falalu Bello and his ADC counterpart, Ralph Nwosu, have advocated for reform, integrity and implore all Nigerians to hold our leaders accountable, demand transparency, and actively participate in shaping a future free from the shackles of corruption.

This was contained in a Joint Press Statement by the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) and African Democratic Congress (ADC) and made available to newsmen at the weekend said, it is imperative that we unify in our resolve to rise against a system that has benefitted only a select few at the expense of the many.

The Party Leaders urged government to create a fully independent and transparent electoral commission to help minimize electoral fraud and violence at all levels, inclusive of local government administrations.

They said the commission must be provided with sufficient resources and personnel to perform its duties effectively.

According to the Party Leaders despite its evident flaws, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should be entrusted with conducting local government elections in Nigeria, as its efforts are superior to the sham elections orchestrated by the so-called state electoral commissions.

Government must take decisive action to tackle corruption by implementing stringent laws and penalizing offenders.

Additionally, anti-corruption agencies should receive adequate resources to function effectively, and the government must ensure their operations remain free from outside influence.

"A genuinely independent, incorruptible, and fair judiciary is essential for protecting our democracy and preventing its potential downfall".

"Unfortunately, our current judicial system is plagued by corruption, making it imperative to cleanse it of dishonest judges and other court officials".

The statements urged for a thorough investigation into fraud related to the petroleum subsidy scheme and the
reassess the current electricity tariff regime to ensure a fair system that protects the poor and preserves the middle class from further economic disintegration.

Moving beyond mere rhetoric in advancing the Compressed Natural Gas initiative to offer a sustainable energy solution.

Substantially reducing borrowing rates from the current 38% per annum to no more than 15%, echoing levels seen prior to the current administration.

Tackling systemic corruption, including bribery, patronage, graft, embezzlement, and the padding of budgets and overpricing of government contracts.

The two Political leaders pleased to announce that the PRP and ADC have initiated discussions regarding a potential Alliance which may lead to Merger aimed at fostering positive change in Nigeria.
