Human rights advocate, Ahmad Shuaibu Isa has called for justice and better treatment for victims of terrorism, systemic oppression, and human rights violations in Nigeria.

In a statement, Isa criticized the government’s failure to protect citizens and address widespread violence, corruption, and injustice.

He highlighted the devastating impact of terrorism by groups like Boko Haram, whose actions have affected communities across religious and ethnic lines.

Isa also drew attention to the violence in resource-rich states like Zamfara, raising concerns about possible exploitation under the guise of lawlessness.

The statement condemned the 2015 massacre of over 1,000 members of the Islamic Movement, the violent suppression of the #ENDSARS protests, and the ongoing illegal detention and extrajudicial killings in the country.

"It is unacceptable for a government to treat its citizens as enemies," Isa said, urging the government to compensate victims and prioritize their protection.

Isa called for unity among Nigerians to confront oppression and demand justice, warning that silence only empowers oppressors.

He appealed to the government to uphold human rights and ensure accountability for past atrocities.

"The victims deserve justice, and the Nigerian government must act now," Isa concluded.
