Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has directed the State's Projects Monitoring Committee to intensify efforts in monitoring and evaluating all ongoing projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
Speaking to government officials in Damaturu, Governor Buni emphasized that every project executed in the state must meet the highest standards of quality, as outlined in the contractual agreements.
A statement issued by Mamman Mohammed, the Director-General for Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, quoted Buni as saying, "It is crucial that all projects comply with contractual specifications, stand the test of time, and serve the best interests of our people."
The Governor also instructed site engineers working on the projects to strictly follow the specifications, reporting any substandard work promptly.
"We must ensure that the funds spent on these projects are justified and that they bring value to our people. This is part of our administration's commitment to accountability," Governor Buni stated.
He further warned that any delays or subpar work would not be tolerated, stressing, "The government will fulfill its responsibilities, and we expect contractors to meet their obligations according to the terms agreed upon."
