The Governing Council of Yobe State University (YSU) has approved the appointment of Professor Bukar Jamri as the Acting Vice-Chancellor, effective February 13, 2025. His appointment follows the expiration of the tenure of the current Vice-Chancellor.
In a statement released by the Director of Information, Hajiya Uwani Zainab Mamuda, it was also announced that Malam Garba Ahmadu Girgir was appointed Acting Registrar. Girgir’s tenure takes effect from January 15, 2025, following the conclusion of the current Registrar's term.
The decisions were communicated by Alhaji Ahmed Mustapha Goniri, Chairman of the YSU Governing Council, during an extraordinary meeting held on January 15, 2025.
These appointments mark a new phase in the leadership of Yobe State University as the institution continues its commitment to academic excellence and administrative efficiency.
