Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has arrived in Accra, Ghana, to attend the inauguration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama. The historic ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday at the iconic Black Star Square.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, it was confirmed that Governor Fintiri is joined by the Governors of Taraba, Plateau, Zamfara, and Delta States, who are also guests of President-elect Mahama. The governors convened on Monday to deliberate on key issues ahead of the inauguration.

John Mahama’s return to the presidency, eight years after leaving office, marks a significant moment in Ghana’s democratic history. His campaign focused on revitalizing the country’s economy, a message that resonated with voters and secured his victory. Mahama’s main rival conceded defeat after partial results confirmed his lead.

The inauguration is set to be a grand event, drawing global attention with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria, ten other heads of state, and numerous dignitaries from around the world expected to attend.
