Dignitaries from within and outside Bauchi State have extended their condolences to Governor Bala Mohammed following the passing of his stepmother, Hajiya Hauwa Mohammed Duguri.
Among those who expressed their sympathies were the Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri; the Acting National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Umar Ilya Damagun; and members of the Bauchi State Council of Emirs, led by the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu.
In separate condolence messages, Governor Fintiri, Ambassador Damagun, and His Royal Highness the Emir of Bauchi prayed for the deceased's soul to attain eternal peace in Jannatul Firdaus.
They described her death as a significant loss to her family, the Duguri community, and the state at large.
In response, Governor Bala Mohammed expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of support and condolences. He described the late Hajiya Hauwa Mohammed Duguri as an exemplary mother who lived a life of virtue and service worthy of emulation.
Hajiya Hauwa Mohammed Duguri passed away yesterday at the age of 120 after a prolonged illness.
