Alhaji Usman Ahmad Baccha has been appointed Mukaddas Kofare Wauro Jambe in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The appointment was made by Maijimilla Kofare, Alhaji Bashir Baba.
During the ceremony, the head of the area urged Alhaji Usman Ahmad Baccha to use the opportunity to strengthen ties between the kingdom and the state as a whole.
Speaking to reporters, Alhaji Usman Ahmad Baccha expressed his profound gratitude, stating that words could not fully describe his happiness. He pledged to use his new position to promote peace, security, and cooperation in the community.
He added:
"I believe this appointment is a divine responsibility, and I am committed to serving my people with dedication. I will work towards ensuring security and harmony among our residents."
Addressing concerns about security challenges, including the menace of Shilla Boys—a group notorious for phone snatching and handbag theft—he assured the public of his commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety.
"The Maijimilla Kingdom has always prioritized security and social welfare. We will develop strategic measures to maintain peace and stability in our communities," he said.
Emphasizing the importance of unity and leadership, he called on traditional titleholders to see their roles as responsibilities rather than privileges.
"Leadership is not about personal gain. It is about service to the people and ensuring that our kingdom remains a pillar of peace and development," he concluded.
