The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Niger State Chapter, has inaugurated its newly elected executives at Doko Hotel, Minna, bringing together Fulbe leaders, elders, and youths in a spirit of unity and renewed commitment to their community.

The Honourable Commissioner for Nomadic and Pastoral Affairs, Hon. Umar Ahmed Rebe, Jonwuron Minna, graced the occasion, calling on Fulbe groups to strengthen their bonds and work collectively for progress.

He emphasized that unity is the foundation for overcoming challenges and driving development. Addressing the newly elected executives, he urged them to uphold the trust placed in them and to serve with dedication.

The National President of MACBAN, Alhaji Baba Usman Ngelzerma, commended the Niger State Government for its commitment to pastoralist affairs, highlighting the positive impact of establishing the Ministry of Nomadic and Pastoral Affairs.

He also praised the Honourable Commissioner’s efforts and encouraged him to continue championing the cause of pastoral communities.

The event was attended by prominent Fulbe figures, including Alhaji Hussaini Yusuf Bosso (Ardon Paikoro, former MACBAN President), Alhaji Hassan Usman Shiroro (Wakilin Fulanin Minna and Coordinator, Bago Ruga-Ruga), Alhaji Abubakar Usman Shiroro (State Chairman, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore), Ardo Sama’ila Rebe, and Ardon Bosso, a former chairman of the MACBAN Niger State chapter.

A large gathering of Fulbe elders, traditional leaders, and youths from across the state further underscored the significance of the occasion.

Speaking on behalf of the newly elected executives, the new MACBAN Niger State Chairman, Alhaji Umaru Lapai, assured the audience of his leadership’s commitment to the community’s welfare.

He pledged to work tirelessly to justify the confidence reposed in them.

The inauguration was more than just a leadership transition—it was a reaffirmation of unity, responsibility, and a shared vision for the future of the Fulbe community in Niger State.
