On Thursday, February 27, 2025, the Katsina State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Hamza Sulaiman Faskari, also known as Wanban Faskari and Sadaukin Kasar Hausa, distributed financial aid amounting to over N50 million (#50,000,000) along with 500 bags each of millet, rice, and maize.
The distribution ceremony took place at the Faskari Local Government Secretariat, attracting a large crowd, including APC party supporters from Faskari, Funtua, Kankara, Sabuwa, and Musawa local governments.
Alhaji Bala Musawa, the Deputy Chairman of the APC in Katsina State, was the keynote speaker at the event. In his speech, he highlighted that this marks the 12th time Hon. Hamza Sulaiman Faskari has carried out such a generous initiative.
He recalled that the first donation started with N600,000 (#600,000), but it has increased over the years, reaching over N50 million this time.
The APC Publicity Secretary in Katsina State also commended the commissioner for his continued support in assisting the people.
In his remarks, Hon. Hamza Sulaiman Faskari expressed gratitude to Allah for granting him the ability to support the community.
He emphasised that charity is not about personal capability but rather the blessing of Allah that enables one to help others.
Furthermore, he prayed for divine intervention in exposing anyone involved in the security challenges facing the region, whether they are politicians, scholars, security personnel, government officials, wealthy individuals, or the common people.
