The Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, has urged district heads within his domain to uphold fairness and justice in their dealings with their subjects.
Delivering his Sallah message after the Eid el-Fitr prayers at his palace in Zaria, the Emir expressed concern over frequent reports of injustice and mistreatment of people in various districts.
“I have received numerous complaints from people about unfair treatment by some district heads, which tarnishes the reputation of the emirate,” he stated. “I strongly caution those involved to desist from such practices, as strict measures will be taken against any traditional ruler found guilty of misconduct.”
He further advised district heads to remain vigilant and security-conscious, urging them to report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
While congratulating Muslims on the Sallah celebration, the Emir emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability in society. He reiterated that security is a shared responsibility and called for maximum cooperation with security agencies.
Additionally, he encouraged parents to closely monitor their children’s movements and ensure they receive both Western and religious education for the betterment of society.
