The Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, has urged Muslims to incorporate the valuable lessons learned during the Ramadan Tafsir into their daily lives.

He made this call during the closing ceremony of this year's Tafsir, led by Sheikh Muhammad Zakir Shamsuddeen Mai Yasin, in Sabon Layi, Tudun Wada, Zaria.

The Emir commended Muslim scholars for their diligent and unbiased conduct of the Tafsir, emphasizing that they had avoided sensationalism in their religious teachings.

He encouraged them to maintain this approach in their regular majlis (Islamic gatherings) and other preaching activities to promote peace and unity in society.

While applauding the "Young Sheikh" for his exceptional knowledge of the Qur’an, the Emir described him as a divine gift to the emirate, the society, and the nation.

"I am particularly pleased to see this young Islamic scholar conducting Tafsir with such a vast understanding of the Holy Qur’an despite his tender age. This is a blessing to his parents, the community, and the Muslim ummah," the Emir stated.

He further encouraged the young scholar to continue seeking knowledge, emphasizing that his ability to conduct Tafsir in both Hausa and English languages could take him far.

Earlier, Sheikh Dr. Shamsuddeen Aliyu Mai Yasin, father of the Young Sheikh, expressed gratitude to the Emir for attending the event despite his busy schedule.

He pledged to continue supporting his son's Islamic education by facilitating connections with scholars from across the globe.

Sheikh Shamsuddeen also appreciated the immense support the Emir, Islamic scholars, and the community had provided, describing it as a key factor in his son's achievements.

It is worth recalling that Sheikh Muhammad Zakir Shamsuddeen Mai Yasin, popularly known as the "Young Sheikh," memorized the Holy Qur’an at the age of three. At that age, he also secured second place in a Qur’anic memorization competition in Saudi Arabia.

He began delivering Tafsir at the age of seven and started advocating for unity among different Islamic sects by the age of nine.

Now 13 years old, the Young Sheikh continues to propagate the importance of unity within the Muslim ummah, conducting Tafsir sessions in both Hausa and English.
