The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has expressed its commitment to supporting the Niger State government in revitalizing the economy through agriculture.
FIRS Executive Chairman, Zacch Adedeji, made this known while speaking to journalists after a closed-door meeting with Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, at his office in Abuja. He commended Governor Bago for his agricultural initiatives, describing him as a key driver of economic growth through efforts aimed at ensuring food security and fostering industrial development.
Adedeji also acknowledged his long-standing friendship with the governor and appreciated the visit, noting their shared commitment to economic progress.
Governor Bago, in his remarks, explained that his visit was primarily to congratulate Adedeji on his appointment as FIRS Chairman. He also used the opportunity to exchange ideas on economic strategies and discuss the possibility of a tax holiday for farmers to enhance food production across the country.
