Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has donated four Hilux vehicles to security agencies to enhance their operations and strengthen security across the state.
During the handover ceremony at the Government House on Wednesday, the governor, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Government House, Alhaji Dairu Zaki, urged the beneficiaries to utilize the vehicles effectively to fulfill their intended purpose.
Governor Idris reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies in discharging their duties diligently.
"My administration is always ready to provide the necessary logistics to enable you to perform your duties effectively. Our partnership with security agencies is for the common good of our people, and we will continue to support and encourage you because your success is our success," he stated.
Of the four vehicles, the Nigerian Army received three Hilux trucks, while the Mobile Police Force was allocated one.
Speaking on behalf of the Nigerian Army, Major A. P. Azubuine, Commanding Officer of 1 Battalion, Dukku Barracks, Birnin Kebbi, expressed gratitude to the governor for the generous support and assured that the vehicles would be put to good use.
Similarly, ACP Aliyu Jega, Commanding Officer of Mopol 36, Birnin Kebbi, pledged that the vehicle would aid ongoing efforts to combat crime and enhance security across the state.
