The Kaduna State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery and improving routine immunization across the state.

This resolve was made at the regular review meeting of the State Task Force on Primary Healthcare Strengthening and Routine Immunization, chaired by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe.

The high-level meeting, held in Kaduna, brought together Local Government Chairmen, health sector leaders, and representatives from various donor agencies supporting the state’s healthcare initiatives.

During the session, participants conducted a comprehensive review of emerging health challenges and discussed strategic interventions aimed at enhancing primary healthcare services in the state.

Dr. Balarabe stressed the importance of routine supervision of healthcare facilities, urging Local Government Chairmen to take a more hands-on approach in monitoring health centers within their respective areas.

A key highlight of the meeting was the emphasis on strengthening collaboration between state authorities and donor agencies to ensure effective coordination and maximum impact of ongoing health programs across the state.

The Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board, Professor Bello Jamo, presented an extensive overview of the current state of primary healthcare, highlighting specific challenges faced by local governments, along with updates on key interventions and program implementation.

The Deputy Governor reaffirmed the government’s determination to improve healthcare outcomes and ensure the delivery of quality health services to all residents, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
