The Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruk Musa Yaro-Enabo, has announced that preparations for the 2025 Hajj exercise have reached 90 percent completion.
He made the disclosure while briefing journalists at the agency's headquarters in Birnin Kebbi, shortly after an inaugural meeting chaired by the 2025 Amirul Hajj and Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Isma’ila Muhammad-Mera.
Yaro-Enabo stated that the meeting brought together the Amirul Hajj, members of the government delegation, the agency’s board members, and its management and operational staff to review the agency’s readiness.
"During the meeting, we informed participants that preparations have reached 90 percent in key areas, including visa processing, yellow cards, basic travel allowance (BTA), the formation of local committees in the state, and various committees in Saudi Arabia for feeding, transport, accommodation, and publicity, among others,” he said.
He expressed gratitude to God for the smooth and successful conduct of the meeting, noting that all attendees were satisfied with the level of preparedness.
Yaro-Enabo also commended Governor Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, for appointing competent and dedicated individuals—comprising judges and other professionals—as committee members under the leadership of the Amirul Hajj.
In his remarks during the meeting, Emir Muhammad-Mera reaffirmed the state government's commitment to the welfare of intending pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. He promised to lead efforts to ensure improved services and support for pilgrims during the Hajj.
The Emir urged board members to carry out their responsibilities diligently, emphasizing that the success of the exercise would depend on their level of dedication.
He thanked Governor Idris for entrusting him with the leadership of the 2025 Hajj and pledged to serve selflessly for the benefit of all pilgrims.
“Although this is a challenging task, I urge all members to work selflessly—not for worldly gain, but for reward in the hereafter. We must act with the fear of Allah in all we do and commit ourselves to uplifting the status, dignity, and image of our state,” he said.
The royal father also called for greater collaboration between government agencies to accelerate sustainable social and economic development in the state.
