The Executive Chairman of Sabon Gari Local Government Area and Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Kaduna State chapter, Hon. Jameel Abubakar Albani, has led the scholarship screening exercise for students preparing for the NECO and NBAIS examinations.
The exercise, held in Samaru Zaria, is part of an educational support initiative aimed at easing the financial burden of examination fees for deserving students within the local government. The program is intended to expand access to quality education and encourage academic excellence among youths in the area.
Hon. Albani was present to personally supervise the screening process, ensuring transparency and fairness in the selection of beneficiaries. Community members commended the initiative, describing it as a timely and impactful intervention.
In a brief address, Hon. Albani reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment and educational development, stating, “Education remains our top priority, and we will continue to support initiatives that build a better future for our people.”
The screening marks a significant step in the local government's broader agenda to promote education and foster human capital development across Sabon Gari LGA.
