Renowned Hausa singer Dauda Kahutu Rarara has premiered his latest song, ‘Omo Ologo’—meaning “child of glory”—in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his official visit to Katsina State.
President Tinubu arrived in Katsina on Friday for a two-day working visit aimed at tackling escalating security challenges and commissioning key development projects in the region. The state, which is also the hometown of former President Muhammadu Buhari, has recently experienced a surge in banditry and kidnappings.
As part of his itinerary, Tinubu is expected to commission the newly established Katsina Agricultural Mechanisation Centre and attend the wedding of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s daughter before returning to Abuja.
In a widely circulated video, Rarara is seen performing ‘Omo Ologo’ to a cheering audience that included President Tinubu and Governor Radda, both visibly pleased with the musical tribute.
