As Muslims across the country celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, Retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Ahmad Abdurrahman, who serves as the Chief Security Adviser to the Bauchi State Governor, has extended warm felicitations to the people of Bauchi State and Nigerians at large.

In a press statement signed and made available to newsmen by the Chief Press Secretary, Abdullahi Alhassan, AIG Abdurrahman described the occasion as a time for reflection, gratitude, and celebration with loved ones, emphasising the importance of prayers for national development.

“This joyous occasion is a time for reflection, gratitude, and celebration with loved ones. It is also a time to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son, reminding us of the values of obedience, faith, and sacrifice,” the statement read.

The Chief Security Adviser called on the people of Bauchi State and Nigerians in general to support government efforts in maintaining peace and security across the country.

“We must work together to ensure a safe and prosperous society. I urge citizens to provide relevant information that can assist in apprehending criminals. Security is a shared responsibility,” he said.

Extending his goodwill to pilgrims performing the Hajj, AIG Abdurrahman wished them a safe and accepted pilgrimage. He called on them to pray for peace, unity, and stability in Bauchi State and Nigeria, stressing the crucial role of spiritual devotion in national development.

“Development and peace are intertwined. Without peace, progress is impossible. I assure the good people of Bauchi State that the government remains fully committed to ensuring their safety and security. We will continue addressing security challenges and creating an environment conducive to growth,” he emphasised.

He further urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, noting that unity and cooperation are vital to building a stronger, more prosperous, and peaceful Bauchi State.

AIG Abdurrahman also thanked Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad for his visionary leadership and expressed appreciation to security agencies for their tireless dedication to maintaining law and order.

“Together, we can build a safer and more prosperous Bauchi State. I wish all Muslims a happy and blessed Eid-el-Kabir. May Allah accept our sacrifices and prayers. Let us continue to strive for peace and development in Nigeria,” the statement concluded.
