The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has warned the public against a fake recruitment letter currently circulating on social media platforms.

In an official statement signed by the Board’s Secretary, AM Jibril, the CDCFIB clarified that while there is presidential approval for the recruitment of personnel into the four paramilitary services under its supervision, the actual recruitment process has not yet commenced.

“The attention of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has been drawn to a letter circulating on social media regarding its recruitment process,” the statement read.

“It is important to inform the general public that although there is presidential approval for the recruitment, several processes must be completed before the actual exercise begins.”

The Board emphasized that any legitimate recruitment will be formally announced through national newspapers and will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner, without any payment of fees.

It further advised Nigerians to beware of recruitment scammers seeking to exploit unsuspecting job seekers.

“Members of the public should be wary of the activities of recruitment racketeers who may attempt to defraud job seekers of their hard-earned money,” the statement warned.
